There is still much to be discovered, and I can’t do it all alone. However, according to the Ancient Greeks from Athens, there were three Horae in Greek mythology. I am currently looking for imaginative people who might become interested in researching this long-forgotten realm with me. Opinions vary on the number and the names of the Horae. They were Thallo the bringer of blossoms, Auxo the increaser of plants, and Karpo (or Carpo) the bringer of food. The Horae guarded Mount Olympus and also rallied the stars and constellations.
They presided over the constellation movements that allowed the Greeks to measure the year. It may appear strange that these divinities, presiding over the seasons, should be but three in number, but this is quite in accordance with the. Their names were Eunomia, Dice, and Irene. Today, many of those stories survive as myths. The Horae are highly regarded despite bearing the almost unbearable names of Eunomia, Dike and Eirene. Among the most important of these beings were the Horae. We are all familiar with the geographical image we commonly refer to as the “boot of Italy.” What has been lost for centuries is the knowledge that the ancients knew of many such images and created stories telling of those image’s imagined interactions. In Greek mythology, items of nature were usually personified in the form of a god or goddess. There is a long-forgotten realm of gods, myths, and religions I stumbled upon years ago, and have been independently researching ever since.
